The liquid level meter has the characteristics of high precision, strong environmental adaptability and easy installation. Therefore, it is widely used in petroleum, chemical and other liquid level measurement fields, and gradually replaced other traditional sensors, become a fine liquid level measurement.
In the product oil circulation industry of CNPC and Sinopec, the measurement of oil volume of oil tank is mostly carried out by manual climbing tank and dropping ruler. Use a metric steel tape with a heavy hammer or a scale measuring, manual record reading, manual table conversion, finally get oil data. This measurement method not only has high labor intensity, but also has unsafe factors, and can not guarantee accuracy. Some places are used capacitive/diffusion silicon pressure type liquid level gauge measurement, because this kind of sensor zero drift serious, large measurement deviation, long-term stability is poor, not welcome by users. Some places also use isobaric membrane level gauge or mechanical float level gauge. But because of the membrane type level gauge is affected by temperature, and there are leakage problems, mechanical float level gauge often appear steel band stuck phenomenon, so it has not been widely used.
